Climb through changing ecosystems, from lush rainforest to alpine desert, and stand triumphantly atop Uhuru Peak, the “Roof of Africa.” Then, descend into the wild beauty of Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater, where Africa’s most iconic wildlife roam free. Finally, unwind on the white sands of Zanzibar, surrounded by turquoise waters and the scent of exotic spices.

Day 1: Arrival - Welcome to Tanzania
Upon your arrival at the airport, a representative from Mpingo Adventures will be there to welcome and provide any necessary assistance. You will then be transferred in comfort to your hotel, where you may check in and settle into your accommodations.
The remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax after your journey. Enjoy the serene surroundings of your hotel, take advantage of its amenities, or simply rest and rejuvenate in preparation for the adventures ahead.
Day 2 – Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins! After registration at Marangu Gate, set off through lush rainforest filled with chattering colobus monkeys and vibrant birdlife. The trail ascends gently to Mandara Hut, where you’ll rest and enjoy your first night on the mountain surrounded by the sounds of the forest.
Day 3 – Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Emerge from the forest into moorland landscapes dotted with giant heathers and lobelias. As you climb higher, the views open up toward the majestic peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo. Settle in at Horombo Hut, where crisp mountain air and breathtaking vistas await.
Day 4 – Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Today’s trek leads through alpine desert terrain—sparse, stark, and otherworldly. The path gently ascends toward Kibo Hut, your base camp for the summit attempt. Rest early and prepare for the most exciting challenge ahead: reaching the Roof of Africa!
Day 5 – Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (Summit Day!)
Your summit push begins before dawn under a canopy of stars. Step by step, you’ll conquer the steep slope of Gilman’s Point and continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m)—the highest point in Africa! Celebrate your achievement as the sunrise paints the glaciers gold, then descend to Horombo Hut for a well-earned rest.
Day 6 – Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
A gentle descent through lush vegetation brings you back to the Marangu Gate. Enjoy a final view of the mountain you’ve conquered and receive your summit certificate—a proud reminder of your accomplishment!
Day 7 – Tarangire National Park to Karatu
After the mountain, it’s time for safari! Journey to Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy game drives spotting lions, giraffes, and countless other species before heading to Karatu for a relaxing evening.
Day 8 – Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
Descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife. Watch for rhinos, hippos, and flamingos in one of the world’s most remarkable natural sanctuaries. Return to Karatu for a peaceful night at your lodge.
Day 9 – Airport Transfer to Zanzibar
Say goodbye to the mainland as you fly to the spice-scented island of Zanzibar. On arrival, transfer to your beach resort—where turquoise waters and soft white sands await.
Days 10–11 – Zanzibar Paradise
Unwind in tropical bliss! Spend your days swimming, snorkeling, or exploring Stone Town’s winding alleys and rich history. Or simply relax by the ocean and let time slow down.
Day 12: Farewell Zanzibar
Enjoy one last breakfast in paradise before your transfer to the airport. Depart with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wildlife, culture, and beaches.
