6 days Ndutu Migation Safari

This unforgettable 7-day safari adventure takes you to some of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations: Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Ndutu area within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. During this special time of year, the chances of spotting the Big Five are high – and in Ndutu, you’ll witness the incredible wildebeest calving season, a true natural wonder.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, meet your safari guide and set off to Tarangire National Park, famous for its vast elephant herds and giant baobab trees. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the scenic spots inside the park while spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos, and an impressive variety of birdlife. Keep your eyes open for predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals.

Spend the evening within the park, surrounded by nature.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ndutu (Ngorongoro Conservation Area)
After breakfast, depart from Tarangire and head toward Ndutu, traveling through the stunning landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Wildlife sightings are common along the way. Stop for lunch mid-journey and continue with game viewing en route. Arrive in Ndutu in time for dinner and overnight in your tented camp.

Day 3 & 4: Ndutu Safari – Calving Season
Spend the next two days exploring Ndutu, the heart of the Great Migration’s calving season. Thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other grazers give birth here each year, attracting predators and offering incredible game viewing. Whether you're out all day or taking a mid-day break at camp, each drive offers breathtaking sightings and dramatic wildlife encounters.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
After an early breakfast, drive to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife including black rhinos, elephants, buffalo, zebras, and a wide range of predators. Visit Lake Magadi, a shallow soda lake that attracts flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. Later in the afternoon, ascend the crater and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Departure to Zanzibar or Back Home
After breakfast, depart Karatu and drive to Arusha. You’ll be dropped off at Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar, or transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your international flight home.
